The 3 years' postdoc research project Voice, gesture, mien, and movement – the rhetorical actio in a performer´s body was funded by Kone foundation. The contributors were DMus Järviö and DMus Karttunen.
The work aimed at bringing into focus and experimenting with the bodily or physical rehearsals, approaches, methods and practices described in the rhetorical source literature of the eighteenth-century France.This postdoc research project included several concerts in Finland (Animal Spirits I and II) and in Belgium, two workshops in Helsinki, and a number of presentations and demos in Helsinki, Jyvaskylä, London, Stockholm, and in Ghent.
